Consitution & Bye-Laws

EGATS is governed by a Consitution and Bye-Laws.

As EGATS is registered in the Netherlands, the Dutch version of our constitution is the legally binding one.

Changes of the Constitution can only take place after the General Meeting has decided so,
whereby this meeting was called with the announcement that changes to the Constitution will
be proposed. They need to be approved by a 2/3 majority of a General Meeting where at least 2/3 of the membership is present. If that quorum is not reached at the meeting, a Special General Meeting may be called. Changes to the constitution then require 2/3 of the people present at that meeting.

Changes to the Bye-Laws can also only be taken by a General Meeting. They need to be announced on the agenda and need a simple majority of the members present at the meeting to approve them.
